The picturesque seaside village of Kato Gatzea is located 19 km from Volos. Similarly to the village of Kato Gatzea you can find cafe bars and restaurants and the beach, Kato Gatzea has a small port for boats, fishing and sightseeing boats. It produces traditional products - olive oil, wines and much more. In the area of Gatzeas is the famous monastery of Agia Triada, 1 km to the north of the village. The monastery is in the courtyard of a large cross, which is visible from the coastal road.
